- • 1 tablespoon sugar 
 
- • 1/2 cup milk or half & half
 
- • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 
 
- • 6 tablespoons salt (preferably, rock salt - but table salt will do!)
 
- • 2 quart-size plastic food storage bag
 
- • 1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag 
 
- • 1/2 tray of Ice cubes
 
This makes about 1 scoop/1.5 scoops of ice cream - double, quadruple, whatever you need to make the quantity you desire! :)
- Mix together: Sugar, half & half, and vanilla in a quart size bag.
 - Seal, leaving it as air-less as possible. Seal the second quart sized bag around that, with as little air as possible.
 - Put quart sized bags inside the gallon sized bag, pour ice cubes in and also the salt.
 - Shake for about 5 minutes or have kids toss the bag back and forth (outside!!)
